Cardiff Bus has announced that some of its drivers will go on strike on a number of days in September & October.
Unite has confirmed that drivers will take part in a series of 24 hour stoppages commencing at 00:01 hours on 2nd September 2015, 5th September 2015, 23rd September 2015 and 11th October 2015.
Three 48 hour stoppage commencing at 00:01 hours on 19th September 2015, 1st October 2015 and 17th October 2015 are also planned.–via Cardiff Bus
Call us opportunistic if you will, but now might be a good time to dust of that bike, if you haven’t already.
Let’s face it, there’s never a bad time to get started, but a lack of buses trundling through town during September and October, coupled with a saving of £3.40 per day sounds like a pretty good incentive.
Also, if you live in an area served by Cardiff Bus, you are probably no more than 30 minutes away from the centre of town anyway. Start thinking about the route you would take now. It may be shorter & easier than you think.
