Something to watch: Ride the Divide

Ride the Divide from Mike Dion on Vimeo.

One for the mountain bikers here. If epic mountain bike races are your thing, they don’t come much more epic than this 2,700 mile race from Canada to Mexico, along the continental divide.

Being in the Rocky Mountains, the route includes over 200,000 feet of climbing along its 2700 mile route. This makes for a fascinating, naturally occurring drama that unfolds between its characters. Many fall by the wayside, from mechanical or emotional breakdowns, but some dig deep and find that something extra to get to the end.

It’s beautifully shot in incredible surroundings, making this an enjoyable way to spend an hour or so whether you are into the cycling part or not.

If road races are more your thing, you may be interested in Inspired to Ride, which is essentially the mother-of-all Audax rides. We’ll have something up about that soon.
