The bank holiday weekend has inspired at least one of our partners to lay on a few deals. With that said, it seems to be only Wiggle who appear to be offering anything particularly interesting. Although Tredz still has their Spring Sale going on and there are a few bargains still to be had.
For example, they have up to 70% off Rapha clothing, 50% off Endura, plus the Gore Shakedry jacket, which is normally a terrifying £250 is down to a more manageable £125.
In the hardware section, there’s a great deal on some Powertap DT Swiss wheels. They’re down from £570 to £349.99.
The excellent Shimano Ultra R8000 group set is down from £1099.99 to £499.99.
Tredz are selling the OnGuard Pitbull DT Shackle lock plus cable for 49% off, just £26.99.
Whilst not on offer, we’re just a few weeks away from the release of Jet McDonald’s new book, Mind is the Ride. Jet, who will be familiar to anyone who reads Boneshaker Magazine, came to see us a couple of years ago, at a talk hosted by Simon from CycleStuff at the Future Inns. It looks to be an interesting mix of cycling and psychology. You can pick that up from Waterstones here.
Whilst I have Boneshaker on the mind, between the 3rd and 5th May the annual Bespoked UK Handmade Bicycle Show returns to the engine shed at Bristol Temple Meads. Jet will apparently be one of the exhibitors and has a Q&A scheduled for the Saturday. We’ve been down there for the past two years and it’s excellent.
Of course, if nothing here grabs your fancy, there’s always our Essentials and Reading List pages. If any more emails come in before the month is out, I’ll be sure to add them on.
